PRE-K / JUNIOR-K

Reading readiness, mathematical concepts, computer, science, nature study and art projects are some of the activities that go on in the daily school lives of our pre-kindergarteners. Pre-K children also enjoy learning self help skills such as housekeeping and dress up through play.

Teachers help them apply their developing literacy and math skills through purposeful, planned learning experiences. Lesson plans allow children to learn from their teachers and from interactions with other children.

The teachers also adjust lesson plans to the children’s developmental levels. If a few children haven’t mastered the alphabet yet, the teachers adapt the lesson to ensure it meets all the children’s educational needs and builds on what they already know.

Teachers also encourage students to explore their passions and interests and teach them to recover from mistakes. These experiences improve children’s confidence and strengthen children’s executive function skills which help them accomplish their goals.
